Out with the dogs
A definately 'must do' is a dogsled trip when you are in Lapland. The Siberian husky's will enthousiastically greet you when you arrive at the starting point of your trip. Your arrival means fun! If you are a bit afraid of dogs, you will see that they are so sweet and very nice. You will love them at the end of the day!
Go into the wild
Just sit yourself onto the sleigh and be off. Don't worry, all the dogs want is to run. Come across moose or reindeer herds out into
the wild while being far out into the last wilderness
of Europe. These trips are always accompanied by an experienced guide and dogteamdriver.
Take a break
After a while we will stop and have a hot beverage or a good meal, depends on the length of the trip.
Everything will be heated or cooked on a fresh made wooden fire in the unspoiled nature. This will be an experience you will never forget! This is a trip Lapland Style!
Drive your own dogteam
You feel confident? Drive your own team! You can experience the way people in Lapland got around for hundreds of years. You will get a sleigh and 4 dogs and some training. Then we will go and form a line of sleighs. Thats something you don't do every day!
Trip lenghts
You can have any trip you like, varying from 1 hour to 1 whole week. You can find the details and prices below. Whatever you choose, this will be the experience you will cherish the rest of your life, and a great story to tell at home. Be sure to check the video below.
Starting from base camp with sleigh and 12 Huskies. Each sleigh can take up to 4 people. The guide will take you out on a nice trip over frozen ice and quiet beautiful woodland surroundings. We will stop along the road, and then we will return to base camp after about an hour, and then you can familiarize yourself further with the camp and the dogs.
We provide warm coats and cover shorts for those who wish.

Lunch Trip (3 Hours)
After arriving to the Kennel we will meet with the dogs and we go through the equipment. You can choose to ride or drive your own sled if you like. For those who want to drive their own sled, we will have a quick walkthrough of how the sled works and how the dogs respond. We can provide with transport to and from Jokkmokk aswell as proper warm clothes for those who need.
The tour goes over frozen lakes and into the forest stillness, where we stop at Pärlälvens widths. There is open water all winter, and a fantastic nature on display. For lunch, over an open fire - we will cook and serve the local delicacy Souvas (smoked reindeer meat). After the lunch we will enjoy a hot freshly boiled cup of coffee before we start our journey back to the base camp.
Back at the base camp, you can continue to spend time with the dogs if you like, before we take you back to Jokkmokk.
Price / Person: 1,200 SEK (+300 SEK to run your own sled.)
Day trip (6 hours, all driving their own sleigh.)
On arrival at base camp we will provide warm clothing for those who need. Since everyone gets to drive their own sleighs, we will meet up with our Huskies and have a quick walkthrough of the sledge, and its braking and steering functions. Each dogsled will be pulled by 4-5 Huskies. After the walkthrough and preparations, we will be ready to go.
The trip will take us over frozen lakes with beautiful woodland surroundings. If we are lucky we can probably see tracks of the abundant wildlife in our landscape. We can assist with the collection to and from Jokkmokk. We will stop for lunch and coffee break and further refreshments at another stop later. For lunch we will serve, Souvas (smoked reindeer meat), homemade cakes and lingonberry juice. We can provide with the transport to and from Jokkmokk.
After about six hours we'll be back at base camp, where we help each other out with the dogs and take a final chance to cuddle and play with the dogs before your departure back to Jokkmokk.

Two-day Trip (With everyone driving a dog sleigh of their own.)
Upon arrival to base camp, we start gearing up with winter clothing and other equipment that will be needed during the trip.
You will get acquainted with your dogs and we have also reviewed how the dogs and sled work. You will receive your own dogsled with 4-5 Alaskan Huskies. When we are finished with the practical stuff and you feel secure, we will start our trip.
We travel over frozen lakes and into the beautiful forest landscape. With a little luck, we can get a glimpse of the rich wildlife that exists in Lapland. After a while we will stop and cook lunch over an open fire together. The food consists of the local smoked reindeer meat called Souvas. After a hot cup of coffee we will continue the journey to an old log cabin located in the forest. Where we rest the dogs, give them food and make sure that everything is going well. Then it's time for dinner and coffee.
If the weather permits, you will have the chance to lie under the open sky and sleep next to the dogs. After breakfast the next day, we harness the dogs and make our way back to base camp. We stop for a quick lunch or coffee while enjoying the peaceful nature and the presence of our dogs.
Upon arrival at base camp, we harness the dogs and play with them before it's time for departure back to Jokkmokk again.
Included in the price: Private dog with everything around, warm jacket and trousers, guide, sleeping bag, all meals and overnight in cabin.
Not included: Travel insurance.

Longer Trips
We can assist with the collection to and from Jokkmokk. On arrival at base camp we go through all the equipment, providing warm clothing for those who need and a quick walkthrough of how the dogs and sled work. Since your arrival will occur somewhere in the afternoon we will stay at base camp and depart the next morning.
Everyone gets their own sled with 4-5 Huskies. During thpse days, you have full responsibility for the team, providing food,
turning off the harness, etc. Of course, with the help and support of the guides.
NOTE! We have 2 different multi-day trips. You can choose from Skogland tour or mountain tour.
The Forest Trip
This starts from basecamp and passes through forest land up to the mountains. Overnight stays are different cabins along the route. At some cabins, we will also have access to a sauna. We cook our lunch and coffee, over an open fire every day.
The Mountain Trip
The trip starts at the beginning of our mountain area and run up against the mountains, the trip is bookable around March-April since we depend on good tracks for our dogsleighs. We will overnight in cabins along the trip, but it's also possible to overnight in a tent / hut for those who wish to stay a bit more extreme! You will get an incredible experience in the Swedish mountains, with some luck we will see lynx, wolverines, reindeers and mountain birds.
Included in the price: Private dogsleigh with everything included, warm jacket and trousers, experienced guides, sleeping bag, all meals and accommodation (cabin / tent / hut), travel to and from Jokkmokk (from airport or train station).
Not included: airfare, travel insurance.
